I decided to pay close attention to my mileage this week. I'm driving a 94 GT 5-Speed. I don't really go over 70-80 on the highway..but I drive "peppy" on the surface roads (can't help but have fun in the Celica).. I'm getting about 280 a tank. With recent plugs, wires, rotor, cap, distributor. How's your mileage this summer and how do you drive? -------------------- My new, blue spark plug wires gave my Celica, roughly, 250 more horsepower..

IDK if there's anything I could do to raise my MPG...I'm assuming the engine is working pretty efficiently even though it's older.
Assuming I drive 400 miles and empty the tank, I'm only getting 25 MPG. Good, but I drive pretty relaxed, with AC on 75% of the time and the rest with the windows down when I do less than 55. Weird since the factory estimations are 27 city, 34 highway, I would think I'd get somewhere in between that. |
