searched and there were too many results... what would it take... i found a mint corolla motor with about 40K on it... wondering what i would need... could i use the tranny i have on my 7afe

Even if you really found a nice perfect 5SFE engine and transmission combo, with the shifter linkage, axels, mounts, accelerator cable, etc. It would be only be an extra 30hp at the flywheel. So yeah, I wouldn't recommend it.
If on the other hand your engine is dying, look for a 4A-GE. Even if you get a bluetop, it would be a worthwhile swap (if its dying, if not than no) and it would fit your transmission perfectly. If you can find a cheap 20V 4A-GE silvertop (about $900 where I live) it would be the best and cheapest option. --------------------  (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny.
