The other day i noticed that my dome light only lights up when my driver's side door is open...i think this started pretty recently. Any idea what might have bit the dust and where it's located so i can revive it?

That pin thingy that Fastbird is talking about supplies the chassis ground for the light, if you don't use the lights-on when door open much.
Where the contact touches the body tends to oxidize (rust) and doesn't complete the circuit to ground. I took mine out once on my 90 ST but I never bothered to clean it. If you want I can run out check it, but I if I remember getting it out was pretty straight forward and where it made contact was pretty obvious too. (steel wool or pencil eraser to clean). |
