OK this night is horrible. someone hit my car. backed into it. it is f**ked. I dont know what to do, i cant match the paint i cant sell for a decent price to get soemthing better im totally lost i am just completely lost. Right now i dont even know what im asking for in this thread. i just need insight or something idk

Sorry, I know he's your friend and all, but is he insured? Then his insurance needs to take care of it, it's as simple as that. It's not you against him, it's you taking care of your car and his insurance covering it. That's why we HAVE insurance. That's great that he feels bad and all, I'm sure he does. But did he offer to take care of the damages? Probably not if he doesn't have a lot of $$, that's understandable. But he SHOULD say hey man, we'll go through the insurance and get it taken care of. That's what you're SUPPOSED to do. If he's not insured, well, sounds like you're screwed. I hope he's a really good friend of yours and and worth swallowing the loss in favor of your friendship. But if he's just some guy you know, well, it's an insurance claim. Or you could suck it up and file a hit and run with your own insurance, even if you just have liability that will usually cover hit and run damages.
