i bought the VIS carbon fiber hood from toyocelgt95. i talked to a lot of people. some said that it can't be done. while most people said that it could be. any suggestions. i wanna paint it red to match my car. it is in good structural shape. it has one minor chip and a lot of scratches, some smaller some deeper.

Carbon fiber is just fiberglass using a carbon fiber cloth and clear-gel resin. That's it. It can be painted just as anything else. Remember to use a good prime and it'll stick for as long as the rest of the paint does.
