The Toyota 1MZ-FE 3.0 litre engine is a strong engine with good stock performance readings. In the Australian Camry's you can reach the quater mile in no more than 16.2 seconds. Better than the dull 5S-FE 2.2 litre @ 17.5 seconds with manual transmission in our Celica's.
 These specs are for the Australian Delivered Camry! Engine Code 1MZ-FE Engine Size 2995cc (3.0L) Engine Configuration V6 CAM Double Overhead Cam Engine Cycle 4 Stroke Fuel Type Petrol - Unleaded Power 141kW @ 5200rpm Torque 279Nm @ 4400rpm Acceleration 0-100Km/h 8.8 secs Celica ST204 0-100km/h 10.1sec Method of Delivery Electronic Sequential Fuel Delivery Multi-Point Injected Induction Naturally Aspirated Wheel Base 2670mm Kerb Weight 1425kg The camry weighs in @ 1425kg and the Celica weighs in @ 1200kg so with this engine producing 141 kw and launching a #$%%^ Camry to 100km/h in 8.8sec imagine the races and the faith I would have in my celica when the the light turns GREEN! Really don't know what TOYOTA was thinking when they issued our Celica's with a slow and crappy 2.2 litre 5S-FE.  If you know anyone or if you have thought of a 3.0 liter enginge swap please write back. Is it a feasible swap? And is it worthwhile?.JuzStyle |
