So when I got my car, there already was an aftermarket Pioneer head unit installed with a lidded pocket underneath it. With the Pioneer installed, it didn't have a problem with letting the face fold down to let me insert or eject a CD, but with my new Alpine CDA-9857, the trim panel around the radio kinda sits on the faceplate and won't allow it to open. It did the same with the CDA-9855 I have but would still allow the motorized face to open every once in a while. I'm not too concerned about the CD part since I have an iPod cable now, but it just bugs me that it does this, so I might have to shave the panel around the radio down a bit. Did anyone else have this problem? Is it just a matter of design for the radios? What installation kits do you guys have?

1. Don't you guys feel kinda... dirty... when you say things like "I just filed the top of portion of the shroud that touched my head unit"? Is it just me? (that's rhetorical. Please don't answer that laugh.gif )

2. EVERYONE knows that tornadoes and hurricanes hit trailer parks as God's way of doing a little house cleaning. Come ON, people! (and by "people" I mean D-Man) LOL! It's like Eddie Murphy in Raw when he talks about Amityville Horror where the house tells the people to get out. When someone is telling you GET OUT - you GTFO!!!!
