 New Metallica Album?, thoughts? |

I just picked it up today because i thought "The Day That Never Comes" was good. I have to say the album is alot better than St.Anger. They kinda have the old Metallica feel to this cd.

The new album is better than St. Anger but its still a bit of a disappointment over all. I found that the riffs are very repetitive and discordant, the solos are lackluster and the timing changes come at random and are poorly executed. The drumming for a few songs felt out of place, especially for "The Day that Never Comes" which for a slower song featured drums that were way too heavy and way too loud in the mix.
The Unforgiven III was also completely unnecessary in my mind, its a completely different song and different style than the other two and it seems to be named so just to cash in on the success of the Unforgiven. For an album with so many positive reviews I wasn't exactly impressed with it. --------------------  (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny.
