ok big story - engine started clicking after i replaced oil pump , i thought that it may have been the ole toyota tick in the lifters, just in case i checked my bearings on the crank-bad news i had atleast 2 spun bearings. SO sent the crank off to be checked-mains turned down .25mm and the rod journals polished. got it back and put everything back together and tq'd to specs. started it up and now the oil pump seems to be making almost a clicking sound and the head still has a tick sound and the idle was at 2000 at first, i checked my vac lines and started again and the idle is closer to 1200rpm so still not right but better...any suggestions?

new oil pump - machined crank with new bearings - new cap and rotor - rebuild trans - newish clutch - new timing belt

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?
