I have been smelling gas really strong for the last week. Tonight I crawled under the car and found a small hole on the bottom of the tank and when I put my ear next to it I can hear air hissing either in or coming out of the tank. Will JB Weld solve my problem or am I gonna have to go at this in a different and more expensive way. Please, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Jeunesse, it may be tommorow, IDK. I've got to get out of work first. It's for a 202 frame right? iv tryed fiber glass repairs to my tank No offense bro, But that's a BAD idea. Unless you're using a vinyl ester resin... Epoxy resin (the only kind sold anywhere except for a speciality store) Will dissolve in gasoline.Yes D-Man it is for a 202 frame. well i assume thats what it was cause it was a gas tank repair kit came with a woven fiber mat you cut to fit then you mixed the resin and put it over top.......i latter bought a fiber glass repair kit for like a small boat and put more on top of the first coat....never had any problems with it....like i said tank held up with both repairs for about a year untill the inlet for the filler neck was too rusted and i sprung for a new oem one.....be nice to know what kinda damage he has on his tank.....a quick visit to canadian tire may help him out I have seen it already and the problem is due to rust on the seams. Where'd you get the OEM gas tank for 300? I dont have any problem on the filler neck just on the tank edges. -------------------- -Derick
