after this winter im gunna have about 3g's to play with for my car.. I was thinking of going with the redtop beams engine..simply for the fact not many have done it. and i heard its a pretty strong reliable engine, but i kno the 3sgte produces more hp.. which would be harder if u know? and which would u suggest for me thanx..

If you want something that's more unique, I'd go with the BEAMS 3S-GE, but I think you'll spend much more on the engine, because it's fairly new and not many cars were available with that engine. As far as installation goes, I'd guess that it'd be fairly similar mechanically to a 3S-GTE swap, but the wiring is probably more complex than the wiring for a ST185 3S-GTE, becuase the engine is newer and probably uses more electronics. If you get the BEAMS 3S-GE from a ST202 Celica or a Curren, you'll be able to use that tranny and not have to buy another tranny, like you would if you went with a 3S-GTE.
Either way it'll be sweet, but I think the BEAMS 3S-GE will be more expensive, and it doesn't have the torque all around the powerband like the 3S-GTE does. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
