I tried with a degreaser and many rags and toothbrushes and barely made a dent in the grime lol. The only thing i can think off is steam cleaning. i know you have to protect all electrical components. Is this the only way to really clean your engine good? how do you guys do it. i have a feeeling ill screw something up if i steam it

I used engine degreaser aerosol from autozone, at the carwash late late at nite... fumes were lethal* make shure your engine and manifold have cooled to the point you can touch and not burn. wait the 10-15 min like the can says, then hose that sucker off good/ DONT spray your fuses, plug wires, or any other electronics in the bay*
i say late at night because im pretty shure its frowned upon to have those chemicals running down the drain so tree huggers dont even get on my back about this! This post has been edited by boosted95: Oct 3, 2008 - 8:41 AM -------------------- |
