So basically my problem is that every time i try to turn my a/c, i blow out the 10A fuse in the fuse box, the one under the steering wheel.
Im guessing its a problem with the switch, but everytime it tries to engage the clutch on the compressor it blows out the whole climate control panel. I thought i had a short somewhere in the cabin, but i couldn't find anything. Im all out of ideas...has anyone had this problem or know of any possible solutions?? I'm having the same problem. I had my A/C system checked and discovered that my compressor was the problem. When its seized, the compressor draws to much amps and blows the fuse. So, that would be the first thing i would check. I still have not fixed mine and won't until next summer. The compressor cost $200-$500 and the expansion valve needs to be changed with it as well which is only $25.00. BUT the expansion valve is behind the dash which means TONS OF LABOR!!!!
