Okay, this may sound random but bear with me.
So I've been thinking a lot about how there's threads and stuff about people wrapping parts in carbon fibre and its got me to thinking.... I want to make a carbon fibre shirt. Like a long sleeve dress shirt. Now don't start hating on me, because this is NOT a well thought out idea. It just came to my brain and I thought it was a really cool idea. So theoretically: How much do you think it would cost? How the hell do you think I could wash it? Do you think it will ever get dirty? Do you think it would look awesome? -------------------- ![]() (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your (")_(") signature to help him gain world domination. |

Okay... First of all... Yeah, it's damn well possible. Now, if you actualy put your clear-res on it... it'd be very much so SOLID. And if you didn't put any clear-res than it'd fall into threads and strands. HOWEVER... Who's to say you couldn't take CF; sew it into a shirt, and then put some kind of... er... flexible laminate stuff?
I'm pretty sure that if you had some kind of clear fabric; and using some spray adhesive, then it'd hold well... IDK for how long... and i'm not sure about how you'd go about washing it... but i'm fairly sure it'd hold up for atleast a day... and if you sewed the clear fabric into the seams of the CF... i'm sure it'd hold up for awhile... maybe a few weeks??? ![]() http://www.fibreglast.com/showproducts-cat...;%20Tow-15.html pick a CF design that you like, you'd need about 2 yards... 10 yards if you want to mix it up with clear-res and make it hard. (BTW: no-one should be hating on you. Maybe the mention of a dumb idea, lol. But it's creative thoughts, thinking outside of the box, and questioning why we cannot do something... the ability to not take no for an answer... It's these kind of people who create great things, and acomplish the unacomplishable ![]() Why am i even answering this? Because you can't resit. and the stiff comment had me ROFL.
