ok so its been a few days with my engine light always on when im driving and i need to know of a couple of things to check before i have to get it serviced. well first a friend of mine tightened my gas cap which was loose because i forgot to screw it on tightly enough so i thought maby that was the problem but the light is still on, i checked all the fluids in my engine and they seem to be fine and i beleive most if not all of my electrical components are working as well so anyone got some ideas on how i can get that checked out without having to spend money on letting a profesional look for the problem? i would be happy on any input/ideas to try because i hate looking at that light everytime i am going fast or making tight turns and what not.
