I always make sure to have my tires properly inflated, but I usually only get 400 miles to my tank, which equates to about 25 MPG. Now, I always used to drive so I wouldn't go over 3k RPM so as to conserve gas...however, I've experimented giving it a bit more gas with my last full tank, letting it go up to about 3.5-4k. I'm actually noticing better gas mileage, as the actual gauge doesn't go down as irregularly as it used to (deposit on the fuel thing?) and I've gone about 360 miles until I got to empty, and if I killed the whole tank, it would get me around 420.
Possibly just coincidence since this is the first time I've done it, since it doesn't really make sense. Discuss. |

Of course I always reset the odometer so I know how much I'm driving, duh.
But going by the fuel pump is sort of hard, I've never actually emptied the whole tank, therefore I can't now how much is left. BTW, I do have an auto. |
