k so iver never driven stick before, but for my new job as a car wash attendant at a BMW dealership
there are tons of opportunities to drive the cars, but i let my coworkers do it because i have no idea one of the coworkers told me its the best to learn at work as u can **** the car up and no one will really care. i prob wont be shifting to 4th gear at all, not evne 3 maybe 2 at most because of the distance we drive to park the cars in the lot after detailing. if someone could give me some pointers on starting the car that would be cool, as more of a type of driving for 5-15mph. |

Sever pretty much nailed it, But remember you have to hold the clutch to start it and to use the brake as well. But that whole balancing the gas and clutch is key. Clutch 100% = Gas 0% Clutch 90% = Gas 10% Clutch 50% = Gas 50% Clutch 25% = Gas 75% IDK what the word is to describe that; but that''s the idea of balancing the clutch and gas. Rev to 10K and let go I'm hoping this was merely an example and you don't have 75% gas down when you have the clutch still in... Best way to learn is to, on a flat surface, lift the clutch up by itself very very slowly; no gas, and let it catch. Once you've mastered learning the pressure of the clutch and how to control the engagement point, adding gas is simple. -------------------- |
