k so iver never driven stick before, but for my new job as a car wash attendant at a BMW dealership
there are tons of opportunities to drive the cars, but i let my coworkers do it because i have no idea
one of the coworkers told me its the best to learn at work as u can **** the car up and no one will really care.

i prob wont be shifting to 4th gear at all, not evne 3 maybe 2 at most because of the distance we drive to park the cars in the lot after detailing.

if someone could give me some pointers on starting the car that would be cool, as more of a type of driving for 5-15mph.

Push in the clutch, pop it into first. now press on the gas and eas off the clutch, try to balance it out and have them meet in the center. once the car is rolling u can let off the clutch and its smooth sailin. for 2nd gear just push in teh clutch, shift to second and balance them gas and clucth again. if it starts buckin just push in the clutch. Also if u hear it start to sputter its normally cause u need more gas and less clutch. ull probably stall 2 or 3 times. but after that its cake

That's pretty much it.

Initially I learned to ease off the clutch first til it grabbed then apply gas, but that didn't work out to well for me. A friend of mine taught me to apply about 5-10% throttle (should hold the car around 1K RPMs if idle is right at ~750 RPMs), then start to ease off the clutch but not too slow or too fast until it grabs and the car starts to move a bit, then apply more gas accordingly.

D-man - are you thinking of the word "equillibrium"?
