I searched the sticky for this but its HUGE and a lot of the the pictures and links are dead... so:
1) where is the factory location of the relay box? in the center console? below the driver pass? just for reference. 2) what does the blue/yellow wire attatch to? is it just a constant 12v source? or is there a coresponding blue/yellow wire in our car somewhere. 3) what way would you guys recomend running the wires through the door? i tried using a coat hangar but it didnt come out the other end where i could reach it. anyhelp on these would be appriciated, thank you! |

1.
![]() however you'll be missing the bracket that's needed to mount the relay box to the body. you'll end up mounting it in a place that would make the install a bit easier (like in the driver-side beneath the steering column somewhere and ziptie it tight.) 2. blue with yellow stripe wire connects to any 12v power source. 10A or 20A source will work fine. 3. a coat hanger will work fine if you're trying to get your wires from the cabin (kick panel) to the exterior door loom (but not through it!) if you want you wires to go through the door loom for a cleaner install, it will be more work and you'll need to basically take more door parts off to get it through... but that's up to you. my wires go outside and into the door through the door panel and i have my wires wrapped and tied to the original door loom. also i would recommend using thin wires (i used intercom wires) because they group up into 1 which makes it easier to fit. pre-wired jdm mirrors ![]() -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
