ok working on pilling the engine 5sfe from my and im have noticed a few melted looking electrical connections the plug for the alternator being one i was wondering are the fuse panels under the hood part of the harness? all the plugs on my 92 celica look the same and that is the car i am taking the motor from should that harness work with my ecu? any help with would be great because i hate to get too deep into this and find out its not going to work or its going to cost more then i can budget

ok so what would u recomend as far as a 5sfe motor goes what year range is the best?

ok so what would u recomend as far as a 5sfe motor goes what year range is the best? without a doubt a 98+ motor is what i always say when it comes to replacement motors for our cars. they are the newest version of the 5s, although you may have to use the intake manifold and distributor on your current motor depending on if your car is a federal or cali car. any 94+ 5sfe would work, be it from a camry, celica, ect. but the 98+ version comes stock with a metal headgasket, and the block casting is stronger than earlier versions. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
