I got a new(used) quarter window to replace the cracked one on my car right now. However, since it was used from a salvage yard, it has yellow paint (the type used on windows often) and the car it came off of must have had tinted windows, b/c there's tint on it.
Does the paint just wash off? And how hard would it be to remove the tint by myself/ or how much would it cost (about) to have the tint taken off at a shop? ![]() This post has been edited by 96bluevert: Nov 17, 2008 - 8:32 PM -------------------- |

Yup if the paint is like the window chalk stuff they sell in walmart it comes of with soap n water, if its been on there for a little while it requires a bit of scrubbing.
The window film can come off with soaking the glass some ammonia and sticking it out in the sun. Then scrape off. ![]() -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊

There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out.
