Hi gang, I was just wondering if I was charged the correct amount for replacing my 1994 ST clutch. My mechanic, who has always worked on my car (and does very good job) charged me $540 for the labor! Does that sounds like a lot? I supplied the part and on the bill, it indicates: 6 hours @$90 per hour +tax (7% in NJ) for a grand total of $577.80. I did not ask him before hand how much it would be (my mistake), but I thought it was in the $350 to $400 range, so I was shocked when I saw $577.80. Or do you guys think that it is unreasonable to think that it would cost bet $350-$400?
And last, I want to install a TRD quickshifter, for those of you that have done the install on yours, is it something that can be done withouth the help of a mechanic? I am pretty handy (but not handy enough to change a clutch ![]() I live in Central NJ. This post has been edited by rjorge3: Nov 20, 2008 - 12:30 AM |
