Well last night I was going down the road at about 55 mph... and hit a deer. I was fine I was just shaken up but my carbon fiber hood, which isnt insured, is broken, and the front bumper, passenger side fender, passenger side door, and the rear passenger side panel is messed up really bad, the windshield is broken to. Most likley the insurance wont cover it.... and I dont have enough money to pay for the repairs, so im just have to sell it as is. Ill try to get some pics up and maybe you guys could help me decide how much to sell it for.

I don't know exactly what your car books for, but here is a rundown of about how much the the airbag system will cost you straight from my estimates.Make sure your seated before reading any further, I don't want you to get hurt when you passout from the prices they cost.I would have never expected my car was totaled either. ![]() Drivers Airbag $578.45 Passenger Airbag $587.17 Center Sensor $383.95 Clock Spring $221.29 Air Bag Door Passenger $84.20 Front Sensors $54.79 x 2 = $109.58 _______ $1964.64 Parts cost $242.80 Labor 5.6 Hrs at $38.00 an Hr $2207.44 Total Cost Add that amount to the rest of the damage your car took, and it adds up quick.Plus to be totaled, it only has to hit 75% of the value of your car.And if you expect your car will be valued higher than the book value, you better have some recent pics of your car and alot of receipts, adjusters are hard to convince that your car is worth more than the book says. You can fix it back with those parts used, but goodluck finding a body shop to do it.I found one here locally so far, and he said that he would install it, but not connect it, he said I would have to take it to the Toyota dealership to have them hook it up and check it.$$$$$ You can also just fix the car and do away with the airbag system, but I would think very hard on that one.Is your life worth more than the amount to fix the system? I think so! I don't recommend that option. I saw a silver 95 ST yesterday with a blown motor you might could use and just swap motors. It's a coupe with black leather. It was'nt a bad car but you would have to decide quickly because they are waiting on the new motor to show up.They wanted $2100 for the car as is, or $3900 with the new motor, but I think you could talk them down some. -------------------- ![]() |
