I found this while surfing the web. It is a 4.3MB PDF for those with slow connections it may take a while.
It was scanned in from some magazine, basically these guys run a pretty thorough test on 18 brands of fully synthetic and synthetic blends of motor oil. The results really surprised me!!!! So after doing some reading, I noted that RP acted much in the same way as seafoam does on the seals. Ie, it pretty much kills the deposits that may be built up, over time of course (at least RP owned up to this in their FAQ). But finding cases of it eating away seals I couldnt find, not saying that it does or dosent. I think the biggest problem is propaganda. You go looking for some info and find biased information because one oil company may be providing the sponsorship in order to conduct the tests. You can see how this can be misleading. Does anyone know of a page that has independent testing of the major oil brands?
