Well last night I was going down the road at about 55 mph... and hit a deer. I was fine I was just shaken up but my carbon fiber hood, which isnt insured, is broken, and the front bumper, passenger side fender, passenger side door, and the rear passenger side panel is messed up really bad, the windshield is broken to. Most likley the insurance wont cover it.... and I dont have enough money to pay for the repairs, so im just have to sell it as is. Ill try to get some pics up and maybe you guys could help me decide how much to sell it for.

If you can afford to have the airbag system fixed by someone, you could do the rest of the car yourself. From the pictures you posted you just need a hood, passenger fender, passenger door, and a headlight. All that is easy to replace yourself plus you can put on used parts.Just have someone paint it for you once you get everything replaced.
Your bumper cover looks fine, is there any damage underneath the hood? What parts did you look up that cost $3000? I hope that includes the airbag system parts. If you want to use used parts, I got a good door I will sale. Looks like your airbag system did the same as mine, it shattered the windshield.I think everybody that has ever had the airbags deploy should group together and sue Toyota.I don't know if they are designed to shatter the windshield to keep the passenger from busting it with their head or not, but they should have installed a key system to shut the passnger side airbag off when nobody is sitting over there.Just think of all the Celica's that are totaled because of the prices for the damage it causes. ![]() |
