I know we have quite a few gamer-members on here, and I'm about to get a PS3, I wanted to know if there is a charge to get online with it, to play multi player games, ect. Is it like the x-box that requires you to subscribe to a service, or can you just plug in and go?
Also, the new GTA; is multi-player only available online? -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. D-Man's post should be a sticky LOL, oh boy, you can always count on D-Man for ridiculously hilarious posts. |

Manphibian is right - according to the PS3 website, there is no longer backwards compatibility with PS2 games, but some PS titles are still supported.
http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Systems/Compare QUOTE Due to the availability of an extensive line-up of PS3™ system titles, the 160GB PS3™ system is not backwards compatible with PlayStation®2 system titles, but does maintain backwards compatibility for some original PlayStation® titles. Due to the availability of an extensive line-up of PS3™ system titles, the 80GB PS3™ system is not backwards compatible with PlayStation®2 system titles, but does maintain backwards compatibility for some original PlayStation® titles. So you'll have to find an older 60gig that will play them. IMO: If you have a PS2 - you don't need backwards compatibility since you have the system. Not to mention, you'll probably never play the PS2 titles anymore. But if you mean go rent a game, copy it onto your HDD and return it, and then be able to play it, no you can't do that. But if you mean go rent a game, copy it onto your HDD and return it, and then be able to play it, no you can't do that. Why not? Is that what the drive is for? or only for "downloaded from the internets" games? Can you download PS2 titles? I'm trying to NOT buy another PS2 but my chick really want to get the new avatar game... But i cannot play a ps2 title on a new ps3, and i'm not buying a ps2 when i'm at the store for one freakn game ![]() ![]() WTF is up with the need for massive hard drive then? It's for downloading stuff? what stuff needs to be downloaded so bad? just to save movies on? -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW!
