I know we have quite a few gamer-members on here, and I'm about to get a PS3, I wanted to know if there is a charge to get online with it, to play multi player games, ect. Is it like the x-box that requires you to subscribe to a service, or can you just plug in and go?

The PS3 has a ethernet port on it, you don't have to use wireless.
So to sum it up: PS3 can be used with HDMI, optical, or A/V. It can be used wireless internet, or wired internet.
