Compressors, Guns, Paint. Options

Well here is the question

Through the months i have seen all these garage painters here. I really want to put on some accessories that i have bought.

Im torn between doing this and buying a fixer upper celica. The celica may wait, if i can get a cheap good system, or if I get a job am applying for.

here is the question. If i want to:

1. Buy compressor, how many gallons minimum and HP? Sears?

2. Type of gun? Can I use the same gun to paint things around the house? (walls, doors)

3. Paint Supplier? (Home depot, LOL) i dont want to buy online.

I have been researching, but all is confusing. What would my best set up will be, granted i cannot buy expensive stuff.

I really want to learn to paint cars, so point me in the right direction.

I will have more questions, but I would really like to know your set ups at home to do this.

If you plan on keeping/using the compressor in your garage make sure you have enough volt output to run the compressor in your garage. And make sure to get oiled compressor not an not oil-less !! And don't get one with less then 9cfm if you plan on spraying your car thats if you want a quality paint job.
2. Type of gun? Can I use the same gun to paint things around the house? (walls, doors)
Decide on your gun before you buy your compressor so you can tell the minimum of cfm you'll need. And yes you can use your gun to paint other stuff other then cars just make sure you properly clean them when your done.
3. Paint Supplier? (Home depot, LOL) i dont want to buy online.
I think it'll be easier and probably cheaper to buy online but if you don't want to you'll have to call around to find a paint shop to mix your paint for you.
