I`d say dont waste your money..they do nothing but serve as bling/bragging rights....the sub frame is way strong eonugh and no weak aluminium frame is going to improve things in the slightest...I bought one and all it does is catch on speed bumps..If I wasnt so lazy I`d take it off and throw it in the bin...complete waste of time fitting it.

Nope...if you have ever removed the sub frame you`ll see how strongly made it is.....and you can flex the alloy brace things by hand with some effort....its not strong enough to deflect a wet fart. Better off getting either a good suspension set up....non of this cheap D2 rubbish or whatever its called...TRD, tein or bilstien are the ones to go for...anti roll bars make a big difference in handling.......camber plates are good but will increase tyre wear alot. A set of suspension bushes can help but will make the ride a bit harsh. Engine mounts can tighten things up alot but again increase cabin engine noise. Adjustable coilovers with correctly sized/speced springs are a good improvement for a track car but too much for a road car......TRD 4 way adjustable shocks with TRD springs is an excellent set up...tein if you want it slightly lower but you`d have to think about changing the anti roll bar drop links as they will push the anti roll off its correct orientation. KYB if you have less funds to play with...not as good as TRD but a worthy part for a Celica and more than capable of handling normal road driving without losening your teeth. Top strut braces are a good option and worth considering, will help keep everything stiff (ooh errr) the standard ST205 braces are better than nothing, but again not up to much and can be improved upon with Cusco or similar speced parts...or even the home made jobbie that was on here a few months ago that looked pretty good. Remember...do it cheap...do it twice...cheap parts are cheap for a reason....crap material and crap quality -------------------- |
