hi just wondering what the easiest way to change the wiring harness on a 5s-fe do i have to remove the intake in order to get the whole harness off?

yes, there is.
you disconnect it at the fuse box in the engine bay, and in the passanger compartment from the ECU and 3 interior plugs behind the HVAC controls, and pull the motor, then label and disconnect everything with the motor out. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
