I know that the 4age or the 4agze would be the likely swap for this application but is there any other possiblities... One of my good friends has a 92 5th gen and wants to do something different than the 5afe.

Well, most people will say "Any a family engine will work" which si right. But....any creative automotive tech guy would say "any engine will work as long as it fits size wise...you just have to have a good budget and imagination." That's what I was told when I asked what else there was for my 5sfe instead of 3sgte.
