Hey guys. I was reading about the automotive cryogenic treating. And I wanted to know if anyone in here has tried it before. Would it be good? And what your opinions are about it.

so basically your rearranging the molecules into a more uniform grid pattern? as opposed to the slightly more random distribution resulting from casting?
I can kind of see how a really cold temp would coax the molecules to line up... but wouldnt repeated heating and cooling do the same? isnt that how they increase a metals tensile strength? It just seems that heating would be alot easier than cooling... -------------------- ![]() |
