Can anyone tell me the stock tweeter size in the 8 speaker systems? Also, has anyone replaced them with an aftermarket and if so with what?

thanks in advance.

Casey

Thanks for the info. Post some pics of them when you get a chance njccmd2002.

On a slightly different note. I was at a local mobile audio store debating on what to do about the front speakers in my 1996 Toyota celica. I don't want to run a amp right now but i wanted a little more bass then what i had. So after debating for some time and figuring out that what i want is more in the future. We decided to try something out. I bought and Memphis 8" 2-way MARINE speakers! laugh.gif hahaha. I know i was laughing in the store too but figured what the heck, lets see what happens. Besides, the only difference between a standard speaker and a marine speaker is the waterproof coating. Oh, and i picked them up for $149.99.

So i tried them out and they sound good! The highs and mids are good and has nice bass response. Alot better then what i expected. The speakers comes with a crossover and the tweeter is swiveling. I'm running them off of my deck which is a eclipse 50x4. They mounted perfect in the stock location with all mounting holes lining up.

This should be good until i decide on whether to invest some cash in the audio since its my DD or put the money elsewhere. Here are some pics. I took them at night but i will put up another pic when its light out tomorrow. Enjoy!
