The only lights that come on, when the door is opened, are the two on the doors. I do have the convertible and well I was just wondering if anyone did a conversion to have one of the two lights at the top, turn on when a door is opened? As you can see both of mine are manual.

I wouldn't worry about splicing them a whole lot. For the lights, it's fairly straightforward. There is only a positive and negative wire, and as long as you figure out which is which, then it's one of the easiest things you can do. Just be sure when you splice that you don't just wrap some electrical tape around the connection and call it done. I'd use wire crimps and do the job right. But our cars don't have a warranty them anymore, so you aren't voiding anything. Worst case scenario, you splice the factory wires back together and you finish where you started, with only door lights.
My friend didn't answer his phone, so if anybody else has any input, I'm curious about this too. I have some spare LED's sitting around, and wouldn't mind having a light in my back seat. My factory dome light is pretty wimpy. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates.
