Got my GT4 Clear Signal Lenses! WOOO! Options

But now I ask what is the best method for removing my old lenses? Can I put them on a cookie sheet? Or would that melt the original housing? I guess what I am asking is what is best used to place objects of your car (Turn Signals. Projectors, etc..) to be sat upon in the oven?

I really wouldn't recommend using the grill - too much risk of damaging the backing for my liking. The oven isn't that scary, but if you're worried, I'd use a hairdryer for this stage.

Do take the time to poke down the mastic into the recess - you can use a small flat blade screwdriver dampened in water to stop it sticking.

Already did that after taking the lense out and while the mastic was still hot and pliable.

For the ultimate effect, removing the unecessary partition before spraying completes the look. Best done with Dremel but can be done with care and a very sharp craft knife/scalpel.
