Hey everyone,i don't know too much about computers but i bought computer parts(moterboard,ram,video card,processor,harddrive,) from new egg.com.me and a buddy put it together but its not working.the computer turns on but their no display, it turns on but doesn't turn off.if any know has any idea it would be great thanks

I built my own computer.. I'm not any computer brain or anything but they aren't that hard to put together.. But from the amount of information, or lack there of, I can't figure out what the problem would be. I would say your best bet would be start from scratch and put it all back together. Possibly the video card isn't completely inserted into the motherboard correctly? Or it doesn't recognize that card yet because you haven't installed the Drives yet. The motherboard should have its own video card tho nothing fancy have you tried using that first to get any power? then if that works install the drivers for the other video card and i think that would work
