 Transmission failure? Not a Celica but what is your ideas?, only one gear works |

Hi,
my friends hyundai getz -02 got stuck in gear, think it's the 2nd gear. I can move the stick up and down with no restistans att all (it do stop at the position a let it go) and the gear don't change if the stick is in the upper or lower position. I can't move the stick sidways. The cables connected to the stick, that you se if you look under the leather cover, is moving so those aren't broken. Anyone got any idea what it might be??? |

Yes, like supersprynt has said, it may possibly be on the transmission side. It could be the cable linkages from the shifter to the shift linkages on the transmission so do check that out first.
