Hi- Im new at this so im not a 100% on how to write one of these things. Alright heres my problem... I bought a '94 st w/ 92k miles on it. Ive noticed that it doesnt have as much "pa-zas" as i hoped for, and Ide like to give it some more power smile.gif . As you probably know there arnt that many bolt on parts for the 7A-FE, so should i save for an engine swap or just put an intake and cat-back exhaust, ect.?...Ide like a 3sgte(but unless hell freezes over thats not going to happen) so i would probably opt. for the 4a-gze or 4a-ge. Ive heard the 4agze is better for dragging, and thats what im interested in. And since i have an ST, would it bolt up to my stock tranny. I know that the stock tranny might not be able to handle the boost, so would a new beefy clutch help this problem, and make it so my tranny will last? and for how long? Another thing Ive been dwelling on is the cost? What is a desent ball park figure, if i dont get ripped off, for the GZE vs. GE-assuming i use the stock tranny for each one. Also what will happen w/ my insurence- Ive heard that it will go up a ton- and ive heard i dont even need to report the swap.(so i need that cleared up too frown.gif ) I would like to be able to beat most every Honda, Integra, and Eclispse(what my friends have) i come up against and even bigger and better things wink.gif Thaks for the Help I really appriaiate it (i didnt get an A in spelling class either) wink.gif

Welcome to the site, now to your questions...
If you have the money, and the know how I would definetly do the swap (make sure that you really do your research though). What engine you should get is a different story. As far as I know, and from what I have seen here nobody has ever done a 4a-gze swap in a sixth gen (please correct me if I am wrong). It would definetly be awsome to see that engine in a celica smile.gif . I don't know about the tranny bolting up. You should PM coomer he's doing a 4a-ge swap right now, and would know.

The only way that your insurance would go up is if you need to get your car smog tested or your insurance wants to look at it for some reason. I think that they send your smog info to your insurance and the engine type is on there. So they might raise your insurance because of the mod.
