Hi- Im new at this so im not a 100% on how to write one of these things. Alright heres my problem... I bought a '94 st w/ 92k miles on it. Ive noticed that it doesnt have as much "pa-zas" as i hoped for, and Ide like to give it some more power smile.gif . As you probably know there arnt that many bolt on parts for the 7A-FE, so should i save for an engine swap or just put an intake and cat-back exhaust, ect.?...Ide like a 3sgte(but unless hell freezes over thats not going to happen) so i would probably opt. for the 4a-gze or 4a-ge. Ive heard the 4agze is better for dragging, and thats what im interested in. And since i have an ST, would it bolt up to my stock tranny. I know that the stock tranny might not be able to handle the boost, so would a new beefy clutch help this problem, and make it so my tranny will last? and for how long? Another thing Ive been dwelling on is the cost? What is a desent ball park figure, if i dont get ripped off, for the GZE vs. GE-assuming i use the stock tranny for each one. Also what will happen w/ my insurence- Ive heard that it will go up a ton- and ive heard i dont even need to report the swap.(so i need that cleared up too frown.gif ) I would like to be able to beat most every Honda, Integra, and Eclispse(what my friends have) i come up against and even bigger and better things wink.gif Thaks for the Help I really appriaiate it (i didnt get an A in spelling class either) wink.gif

As of now no one has a successful running 4agze in a celica. The swap is very feasible, and me and John (Mynzeyes) are both working on it. Maybe sometime in the next year or so we'll be finished lol. John actually has the engine in his car, while I havent even gotten that far. My mechanics wont start working till they have a harness they can do something with, which I have no idea how long it's gonna take Mike to finish up on (qatar11).

I purchased an ae101 (1993) 4agze, which has 170 hp, from Storm Performance, check my profile for the pic of it. The only complaint i have (as yet) is that the harness has been hacked to hell, and they sent me a CUT drive axle, which is basically useless to me, so I will be using the manual tranny out of a celica (i am also auto to man. tranny swappin). The engine cost me 1150. I've probably spent newhere from 100 - 300 on parts that didnt come with the engine. I cant really recall, and i will post when i have the time (which wont be till after I'm done).

Stock, your 4agze wont be able to handle all that much... With an ST your probably getting something like 95 hp to the wheels, w/ an engine that cranks something like 115 hp. W/ the 4agze @ best you'll be cranking 170, and i'm guessing at the wheels something like 150 Hp. With some very simple mods you can up the boost and do some other stuff, and easily achieve 220 + hp I'm guessing. This engine definitely has potential for power. But as I said... It hasnt been done yet... But that's only a matter of time. I am confident that Mike will pull through on my harness, and we'll plug it in, and it will start right up. I'm hoping John has a breakthrough, as this is his baby. If you have questions just ask, John's the real fountain of knowledge on the 4agze I'd think, but everyone on here is infinitely smarter than me!
