I recently purchased a 1997 celica ST and I'm a total newb when it comes to cars. I mean, I truly adore cars, but when it comes to the inside of the car, my mind just goes blank. So I had a few questions regarding this model. What is exactly is the ST model? I know it only has a 1.8 liter engine with only 4 piston shooting in it. But what does that all mean... (I'm truly a newb here, forgive me). Another question is that would parts that were meant to go on GT models fit in this ST model? And where would I be able to find some TRD parts for this old celica?
thanks in advance. -Av3rag3 This post has been edited by av3rag3: Jan 18, 2009 - 8:04 PM |

TRD parts = eBay, or your local toyota dealer. you can get some second hand stuff here as well.
all suspension and cat-back exhaust will fit GT and ST. as for the engine as you said is a 1.8L 7afe, which means you can't go faster than the ice cream truck but will save plenty gas to driving right behind him all weekend. Chassis code is AT200, since you have a 1997, you have a OBD II car. you can start reading some discussions to pick up a lot more info regarding your car. Welcome enjoy your stay and please read some info, there is a search function you can use to find some specific info, if you can't find it, post and someone will have an answer for you. -------------------- ![]() |
