California is now $42 billion in the hole and the end comes Jan. 31st....that is the last day the state will be issuing checks for tax refunds and most services

"Federal law requires that many school and healthcare programs – a total of about $6.6 billion in California – must be paid, the Los Angeles Times reports, so Chiang has announced an expected payment freeze on $3.7 billion worth of the state's bills, most of it refunds owed to taxpayers.

But even with the freeze beginning next week, the Times reports, California will still fall $346 million short for the month of February, forcing Chiang to consider something only done once since the Great Depression: issuing IOUs. "

we have like the highest cost of living and now we are gonna be broke like mother ****ers... dam soo many businesses are going to go under. This is kinda scary seeing as i go to school on grants, I wonder how long before they cut all of my grants dayum. Nas says "drugs kept the streets from starving!" haha random comment.

I just thought about this and wondered the same thing! How the hell is the pell grants going to be funded?! That's what scares me, because I am going to school!


Creis, does that point system work going to there or only if I were there getting those degrees. Like, would you happen to know if my degrees and certifications would count towards anything there? Or should I just try to go there, maybe see about work somehow and try to make it that way? Because I was told it takes 15 YEARS for citizenship there.
