This won't be as detailed as other peoples threads as I have seemed to have lost some pictures but anyway, here goes!!:
We start back on 8th December 2007 when I pick up my new car, Celica ST205 GT-Four JDM spec. Here she is the day I got her: ![]() ![]() It came with a few mods already done: Blitz exhaust Boost controller Bailey dump valve 16" OZ chronos First thing I had done was a full major service and then the mods began. First to go on was the WRC raiser blocks, which were 2nd hand but came in silver so bit of a bonus, for the rear wing and also a TRD badge for the front grille!! ![]() ![]() Next on the list was a set of alloys. The tyres allround were very low on tread so thought now would be a good time to replace the 16's for 17's. I would have kept the OZ ones but really wanted 17's so they had to go. I settled on a set of Rota Force, not my original choice but the others I wanted wouldn't clear the front calipers so I went with the Force design, I wanted them in bronze but I ended up with white, along story about that so won't bore you any further!! ![]() ![]() Then I bought a HKS boost gauge and a Blitz blow off valve to replace the Bailey one ![]() ![]() With the boost gauge in I had a mess around with the boost controller as it wasn't setup, this involved alot of hours twiddling dials and the like, however no matter what the settings were it didn't want to play ball so I disconnected the hoses to the turbo and actuator and plumbed them back into standard. However the boost controller unit does have a digital boost readout so I left that bit in! Next on the list was a decat/downpipe and a straight intake with a huge Green cotton airfilter ![]() Whilst cleaning the wheels one day I also came across the suspension setup, 4 way GAB adjustable shocks with TRD lowering springs. A bit of a bonus considering the garage I bought it off said it was on standard suspension!! Late spec rear lights were then put on, can't resist a bargain me!! ![]() October 2008 and we decide to go down to Santa Pod and end up with some disappointing times, 14.7 was the best I could manage!! Really need some practice at launching a 4wd car, was having a right mare getting it off the line quick enough ![]() ![]() December 2008 and down to a rolling road day with the GT4OC, my car puts out a very disappointing 257.2bhp and 215ft/lbs torque. ![]() ![]() After the rolling road I then discover that the car doesn't have a full Blitz system as I was told ![]() So I bought this, still waiting to go, a Blueflame cat back system: ![]() ![]() Ive also put a HKS SSQV in place of the Blitz bov as I got bored with the sound!! So plans for the next month is to get the exhaust system on and replace the rear drop links and rear top mounts. Ive also just purchased an Apexi power fc with hand commander and boost control ![]() This won't be going on though until I get a front mount intercooler sorted out. Hopefully this will give me a bit more oomphh and then maybe a bigger turbo at end of the year?? This post has been edited by paulgtt: Feb 6, 2009 - 2:21 PM |

No mate its certainly not 257 at the wheels!!
WHP is 174.9!! Boost pressure was recorded at 16psi with a digital boost gauge in car. No boost controller was installed, all I had was straight intake, decat and a backbox. Hopefully my new exhaust will yield some much needed extra ponies ![]() |
