Is it a must to remove the crank pulley to get the timing belt off, or is it possible to change it with the pulley on? Its just a big deal to take it off for me, hard to find a puller and i dont have a good impact.
And should i change the idler pulley as well? The car has 240000km. |

well i spent most of today working on it, got the old belt off. there was a bad oil leak so i ordered a cam and crank seal, as well as valve cover gasket. i took the valve cover off though and there is black cooked oil caked everywhere in the head. its burnt go bad the oil is flaky. either someone never did oil changes, or it majorly overheated. either way its not good. ive never seen a engine so dirty from oil. but it does have 240000km on it. i had plans to go turbo with it this summer, but not sure if i will now. maybe do a swap
