I was thinkin of doin my Stereo system. I want all of my system to be the same make, like Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine or sumthin. What would be the best to install. I aint gonna get subs or anything. I listen to all types of music but none that require drastic bass. I want a crisp and clear sound and was thinkin of replacing the speakers and receiver. All I have in mind is this receiver i found at Best Buy (Pioneer 50W x 4 XM-Ready CD/MP3 Deck with Motorized Flap Faceplate and MOSFET50 Amp, Model: DEH-P8500M) Looks flashy!
Here's a link, http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...duct&cmp=%20%20
Let me know if it sux and what system i should consider(sp) I got like $1,000 to blow on this project but could come up with $500 more if needed.

I highly recomend the Clarion dxz835mp. I think Coome will back me up. It usualy goes for around $220 on Ebay.

I've read many great things about the DXZ835MP, and I've heard it and played with one for about an hour, and it's a great head unit. It's going to be what I get in my car once I have some extra money.

That said, that Pioneer headunit is nice as well. I loved my Pioneer head unit's features and usability, but recently it's begun to die on me, and after a few minutes of playing, it will begin to skip horribly. The head unit is over four years old though, and I don't know anyone with a nice Pioneer head unit who's had the same problem as me.

If you're really intent on sticking with the same company for the speakers and headunit, I'd suggest the Pioneer deck, along with some Pioneer REV speakers, as Clarion's speakers just aren't that great from what I hear. From what I've heard, those Pioneer REV speakers sound excellent, even off of deck power. One judge from the IASCA said that they sound amazing for the price, and are comparable to offerings from MB Quart, Focal, high end Polk, etc. You can get the TS-D170R for $90 shipped from theZeb.com, and the deck for $330 shipped.
