Car keeps blowing the gauge fuse and windows will not roll up. Car turns on fine, dome light works, all lights work except on gauge and car alarm will roll windows up when activated. But it keeps blowing the gauge fuse after I put 5 in, all blown up once I start the car. Anyone know what the problem is? I need to be able to fix this asap.
Nevermind. We just taped a few wires not knowing really what we were doing and all of a sudden it works, but we have a 5A fuse in there and so I should go pick up some 10A. faust...you sure your putting the right size fuse in? you can always go a little bigger...for instance i know this happend to my once or twice...if it calls for a 15..put in a 20...it might help...other then that i wouldnt know why it would keep blowing...unless you are shorting out somewhere under the dash..i.e. lose wire and its shorting out No dont do this! If the factory fuse is a 15A, the circuit is designed to handle 15A. If you replace it with a bigger fuse, you run the risk of melting your wiring harness and setting your car on fire. If it is blowing instantly, you have a short somewhere, check for pinched wires. -------------------- |
