Today I topped up the screen wash wish turned out to be pretty damn empty...
After trying it out, I found that the rear jet is working, but the front windscreen jets don't do a thing. With the rear one you can hear a pump whining, but can't hear the same with the front jets. So I am suspecting either a broken relay or a broken pump. Can someone tell me where I can find the relay (if there is one for jet washers) as well as where the pump is located? As for the car, it's a '94 GT with a 3S-GE engine and super strut suspension. Thanks! |

I've had a few problems with my stock washer fluid pump that is similar to your situation. The 6GC has one pump that operates both the front and rear washers (3 wire connector 12v+ front, 12v+ rear and a common ground). First the rear part of my pump stopped working, which at first wasn't a big deal. I replaced the pump when the front part stopped working (it was winter at the time in PA, you NEED fluid). The part at my local advance auto was a universal toyota-type pump which only had one output (front washers only) and a 2 wire connector (12v+ front, ground). So my front washers work fine now but the rear is disconnected. Try to get the stock pump from your toyota dealer if you can. I will either replace my pump with a genuine toyota part, or get another advance auto pump (they are cheap, about $10) and wire up dual pumps.
