I'm assuming its probably time you stop using high wattage bulbs. If you didn't use high wattage bulbs you have to redo your harness. Now if you did use high wattage bulbs meaning higher than 55 watts, you were supposed to use heavy duty harness and what that does is just extends the bulb socket harnesses and wiring (pretty much is an extension) so that in your case, if the bulbs melted the harness it would only melt the heavy duty harness and not your factory harness. And no, projectors or HIDs are not the solution because you have no working socket to plug them into. even if you cut and splice in H1 harnesses it would still might not work if your wires are burnt far down. you have to correct this problem-it sucks if your wiring burnt all the way past your plastic connections and down the whole wire making it difficult to trace. If you only burnt at the plastics (you can test this, pretty easy) you can just get 9006 harness pig tails and redo the connection. buying a complete harness for your headlights is expensive, I always use heavy duty harnesses with stock wattage, high wattage, and even HIDs.
