my abs light is on. the brake fluid looks brown, may friend said that could be my problem. i checked all the sensor lines too. the one set of wires got torn, so i soldered them black to black and white to white. what do you guys think? will a scanner be able to figure out what is wrong?

found it:
If your ABS light stays steady when you jump the terminals the ABS ECU is probably bad.... Try resetting it and see what happens. You can clear all codes by jumping Tc and E1 with the key on. With it jumped press the brake pedal 8+ times in 3 seconds or less. Or you can disconnect the battery [or just pull the fuse]. Physically removing power will completely reset the ECU and MIGHT solve the problem. *Did you pull the short pin out of the diag box before you jumped the terminals? Its in the furthest corner from the "hinge" on the cover of the diag box.* -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
