Can anyone tell me, is there a difference between EGR valves over the years for the 5S-FE?

yea, it could be the tube, or VSV or modulator. i would hit a junkyard for some spare parts.

I have plans to replace the modulator and the hose from the modulator to the EGR. Are you referring to the metal tube from the manifold to the egr? I have cleaned that thing many times over, but i guess replacing it couldn't hurt. Also, where is the VSV? Sadly, all I have for reference is a Haynes manual :\ I looked at the diagrams and tried to locate the VSV where they showed it to no avail. Can anyone help me find it? Picture or a really good description? -------------------- |
