 4age swap, tranny? or no tranny? |

i was just wondering if it really matters if you use the tranny that comes with the 4age engine. i have a 97 st and i was just thinking about using the tranny that my engine comes with and i dont know if this would be a good idea. how long do you guys think it would hold up? or should i just use the 4age tranny? i dont plan on making alot of horsepower i just plan on swapping the 4age for a fun daily and then later on maybe beefing it up with new stronger parts when i get around to it.

celica st tranny only tops out at 118mph or so not fast. but with 4age assuming you have blacktop with 165hp. top speed would be reached easily. is the length of the gears that's on 4age tranny the same as 7afe tranny.

Gearing is not the same. The 4AGE tranny has much shorter gearing and a higher final drive. 4AG tranny for optimal performance. Both trannys are the same thing, C-5x series trans.
